Quick Bio: My professional background is in vocal performance and in teaching high performance vocal technique. As a singer, I’ve sung at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the cabaret theaters of Restaurant Row and assorted regional theaters, as well as been a featured soloist in a number concert works and tours. My work in academia included directing a post-graduate advanced voice pedagogy program at a Tier 1 university in NYC and teaching voice at the graduate level. I’ve worked with hundreds of singers – professional, pre-professional and avocational singers, as well as singers recovering from injury. My current research is an examination of voice pedagogy through the lens of adult learning and development theory.
Current clients include: Signed recording artists, International touring artists, Professional musical theater performers, Classical vocalists, Singer-songwriters, Speech language pathologists, Worship singers, Corporate and medical professionals who are designing a vibrant & creative life for themselves, Singers who want to get their voices back, Singers who have been hurt in their past singing experiences who want to redefine their relationship with their voice, and a Host of singers who defy classification.
So here's what I believe about YOU:
I believe you have a voice.
I believe no one else can say what you have to say in the way you say it through your songs. And I believe someone is waiting for you to share your heart through song.
I believe we are all works in progress and that transformation is absolutely possible.
I believe you will experience the vocal freedom, beauty, power, and presence you desire when your voice is aligned with the natural balances of the body. And I believe in the power of finely honed tools and strategies to restore those natural balances.
I believe in the power of a brilliant process. I believe a smart process speeds the rate of growth for singers (while impatiently ignoring the power of process can actually delay that growth). I believe if we create a quality process, the product will take care of itself. Faster.
I believe if you have a singer’s heart, you were designed to sing – even if your singing voice has significant obstacles to overcome. If you have a singer’s heart, it is for a reason.
I believe singers are healing agents in this world. Our songs tell the truth of human experience, and in that story-telling, we breathe empathy, compassion, healing, connection and reconciliation back into a hurting world.
I believe the world is waiting for your voice.
